Volunteer and Driver Opportunities

LIKE DRIVING? - LIKE PEOPLE?

Need a change or just looking for something different? Then this may be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Keep Mobile, like other charities, have to raise funds to maintain the services they offer. We receive funding from both of the unitary councils in our operating area together with grants from a number of parishes, all of which goes towards our overall running costs. After this we are still short of funds by approximately 30% which has to be found if we are to maintain the current service level.

We started in 1992 in Sandhurst by having days out during the summer period for members of the Sandhurst and Crowthorne Stroke Club who did not have anywhere to go whilst the club was closed for the summer holidays. We borrowed a bus from a local company and every Thursday (Stroke Club day) we did trips to attractions near and far.

Keep Mobile is a voluntary organisation providing transport for elderly and/or disabled people. Keep Mobile has been in operation since the beginning of 1992 and registered as a charity through the Industrial & Provident Society in February 1993. We are run by a Management Committee made up of wheelchair users, other disabled people, carers and those with many years experience in providing accessible transport. All of our committee are unpaid volunteers.
